Help UKPC and DRP trying to con me and being open about it..

Ok guys I need advice and may need a lawyer that deals with parking tickets. I was issued a parking ticket on the 28-2-18 in Coventry due to my permit being expired. I work as a sub contractor for retailers and work overnight when I parked up on the 28-2-18 around about 16:00 I went and got a permit for my vehicle the guy who wrote the permit wrote the permit out to expire at 7:00am on the 28-2-18 so when the parking wardens came around they issued me a parking charge. I went to the parking office in the morning and was told to appeal the charge notice which I did as it was not my fault that they had written me out the wrong date and time on the permit. The parking company rejected my appeal and as good will said I should pay £15 instead of the £60 obviously they know it's there mistake to which I said I'm not paying them a penny. Now they have passed it onto a debt collection company who are demanding £160 from me and threatening me with legal action if I don't pay I've tried to tell them it was an error but they telling me if I don't pay I'm going to have legal action taken against me which I'm not bothered about because it's their mistake. I have received a reply from UKPC on the matter which you can see below:

Good afternoon
Thank you for your e mail
We have investigated your complaint and respond as follows:

You were issued with a parking charge on 28.2.2018 for parking displaying an expired permit
You appealed this parking charge on 7.3.2018
We asked you (on 23.3.2018) for further evidence
You provided a copy of the permit used on 28.2.2018 and using this evidence and taking into consideration the screen shot of your work contract sheets confirming that an error had been made when writing out the permit - we sent you a Goodwill gesture of a £15.00 charge on 6.4.2018 (instead of the original £60.00 charge).
This is because the warden issued the parking charge correctly as you were displaying an expired permit but we took into consideration your explanation of why it was written as expired.

However as you have failed to pay this £15.00 Gesture of Goodwill charge within 35 days of receipt of the letter your charge has now followed a non payment process and has gone to Debt Recovery (14.5.2018).
All future correspondence needs to be with them: Please contact them on 0161 214 8086

Kind regards

Everyone is politely asked not to start a new thread until after reading up on this in the newbies faq thread near the top of the forum

Go there now to learn about the game you are now caught up in.

#4 there covers the debt collectors stage you are now in

You ignore everything except a LBCCA or court correspondence

They have 6 years to start legal proceedings against you

If it comes to that then come back at that time for advice on how to defend it

well well .... it seems to me that you have not read
the NEWBIES thread because you would read a lot
    about UKPC
    UKPC are fraudsters and scammers

They are currently banned by the DVLA from getting data
and that started 22/4/18 so after your event.
BUT, being banned is nothing new to UKPC as were
banned before for faking pictures and fraudulent activities
    a while ago.
    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2018/

YOU DO NOT NEED A LAWYER, the experienced
people on here will help you for FREE

On to DRP ...... they are the biggest joke who constantly
send out rubbish letters and lie, they truly are the low life
of the parking scam, you don't owe them £160 and because
they are powerless in law, there is nothing these wallies
can do ....... as said they are just a joke

You ignore them and now you ignore UKPC

If you get court papers from UKPC or their legals then come
back here. UKPC would be plain stupid to take this further
    especially with what you describe.

By the way ... Unit 29, 1-2 Denham Parade, is a convienience
store in a parade of shops ..... shows you how unprofessional
    they are.

You now ignore everything (except court papers) and wait

For goodness sake why on earth do you think you need a lawyer for a speculative invoice that these muppets have tried to scam you with?

Debt Recovery Plus can't instigate a court case, they are in on the scam and the letters don't actually say that do they, they are carefully written to twist it to make you skim read it and imagine that's what it means.

The idiots at UKPC make the "good will" gesture when they are on a sticky wicket and try it on to at least con you out of something, I would have taken it to the parking office idiot and told him to sort it, and if it isn't and it goes to court he would be called as a witness.

Follow Quentin's advice, read the newbies thread and come back if you get real court papers, which I would guess isn't likely on this one.

Ignore anything from Debt Recovery Plus and their other alias Zenith they are on a no win no fee contract and only write scary letters, and never ever phone anyone at DRP or UKPC.

Oh and that address in Denham (that's where it really is) is one of UKPC's lies too, it's a newsagents used as a handling address one of their many to throw you off the scent.

Their real offices are in Gregories Road, Beaconsfield!

Notice anything? They twist everything they do, and are even banned for a second time at the moment from obtaining details from The DVLA for even more dodgy dealing!

(Hats off to BG for beating me to it)

Fisher, because their income stream has been scuppered
by the DVLA, we must expect them to now scrape the barrel.
Let's face it ..... £15 is really scraping the barrel

Ok guys I need advice and may need a lawyer that deals with parking tickets.
At a cost of around £300-£400, to save £160? Not a recommended manoeuvre.

MoneySavingExpert has just saved you between £140-£240....... doing what we do best! :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
