    ......I'd like to know how the MRVs/bonuses etc are calculated, but I imagine even the explanation would be pretty dense and hard to understand. What level of risk mitigation does this (and similar) products actually provide?


    Can't offer any enlightenment on those questions, I'm afraid. I'm like many people - willing to accept that investments involve risk, and pleased when they grow. Beyond that, MVRs and all that still have a whiff of witchcraft about them, but they don't keep me awake at night...
