I would like to........

I would like to be able to pause on an ITV local news clip, and freeze the picture, then lift it to word and then print it off. My son has shown me how to do it with pics, but when I try to do it with the ITV pic, I pause and hold the pic, but when I rt clic, a box tell me it can't be done, in fact it says, "Function disabled".......... Or can it?

You could take a screenshot, import it into Paint (or any pic editor) & save it as a picture file. You could then print the saved file off after editing it if necessary. G

Well, with limited time at my disposal this morning, I've had a go and it has been almost successfull. I say almost because I did get the screen shot, the whole itv page. What I need to do now, is to be able to obtain the actual ITV screen of what is being shown and paused, rather than the surrounding stuff. This is because I want to capture three paused shots in one news item.

You could always try to "fullscreen" the TV display and then alt-prtsc.
paste into something like ifranview and crop.

TV pics are low quality graphics so you wouldn't expect to blow it up to a huge size and have good image quality.

Strangley enough, I did pause, go to full size screen but then it continued running. I have a bit more time so I'm going to have another shot. Incidently, whilst in that small size, it is crystal clear and that would be fine for me.

Well if it's OK in the small size just pause it, print screen, paste it into MS paint and cut out the bit you want.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die
