Park with Ease Fine. Help please.

I parked in a carpark run by Park with Ease. About 6 months later I received a PCN for £50 reduced to £30 if paid within 14 days. Foolishly I panicked and appealed by email stating I was the driver but I thought I had paid. I also asked why it had taken so long to issue the PCN. I got a reply stating that according to their records I had failed to pay. After reading on here I now realise that was the wrong thing to do. Is it too late to do anything about this? I can provide more specific information but I read that these companies read these forums and can use this against you.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must be at POPLA stage, or did you miss that?

The NEWBIES thread answers all these questions, come back when you've read posts 1, 3 and 4 of that sticky thread. No link, see below for where to click back.

PWE are IPC AOS operators, so no POPLA, unfortunately.

All you can do now is ignore them unless they issue court proceedings, the chances of which are pretty slim.

I think we've had occasional threads reporting similarly, that the motorist paid, yet the PWE machine failed to record the payment.

Have you tried complaining to the landowner? Even now, it might work - nothing ventured.........
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Gaagh that's annoying, in my head, I had them down as BPA. :(

IPC cases are all the same though, as the OP will learn best by searching the forum.

Was this in the Lake District?
(Because, some of the PWE's car parks are subject to byelaws).
  • Sorry for late reply. But yes it was. What kind of byelaws?

Also I have now received a letter saying unpaid parking charge legal action pending.

See the Newbies faq #4 for advice on debt collectors letters

Assuming this is now well over 6 months since the incident then byelaws aren't involved

All IPC cases are pretty much the same. I always beg for NO UPDATES about debt letters!
