Cheap Energy Club comparisons

Hi
Sorry if this is already in a thread somewhere, I just haven't been able to find anything.
I'm curious to find out if it's possible, or if there are any plans with the Cheap Energy Club to enable comparisons with suppliers who offer Smart Metering.
I have recently had a smart meter installed, and not all suppliers offer a service which would enable their use - I don't see the point of considering switching to a supplier, if their service doesn't offer Smart Metering.
Thanks

Some suppliers offer tariffs that REQUIRE a smart meter. All suppliers offer tariffs that a homeowner can access irrespective of the fact that the supplier's website states that they do not support smart meters. As most smart meters revert to dumb status if you switch suppliers, then you just have to read the meter and pass the supplier meter readings.
On present plans - but watch this space - your meter should be upgraded or replaced by 2020 so that you can switch suppliers at will. By 2020, all suppliers have to have systems in place that can access smart meter information from the central Data Communications Company. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
