CCJ Removal

Hi all,
I recently had a CCJ put on my file, I paid it off today.
I know it’s possible to get it removed if you pay within 30 days. Unfortunately it’s been 40 days since I got it, so I’m 10 days late. Is it possible to still get it removed? Or am I going to be stuck with this on my file for the next 6 years?

Thanks for any advice

It'll be there for 6 years.

But it looks much better settled than not.

It's the courts who state they remove if paid in the first 30 days, so on their for 6 years whether 10 days late or even 1

Why were you late paying it? What was it for?

Well the OP hasn't come back, but there is no indication of what the CCJ is for. It could be for finance that they went into default and carried on ignoring until the CCJ, it could also be a parking fine sent to an old address and only realised when they saw the CCJ appear on their credit file.

It was over an old phone contract with orange. Basically I was stubborn about paying it as I actually got the contract out for a family member who let me down.

Oh well. At least you'll know for next time.
