UK Holiday Advice

I’m looking to book a holiday for me and another adult in mid-July, somewhere near an area of natural beauty of some sort. I was looking at getting a cottage/hotel/spa thing for four nights.

My budget’s about £600 for accommodation (could go a bit higher for the right place) but I’m completely clueless as to where’s the best place to look for deals on this kind of thing - does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you happy traveling hours to get somewhere or would you prefer somewhere closer ?

Have had good experiences with Sykes cottages. Probably not the absolute cheapest, but good value and accurate listing. Would have thought budget should be fine for one bed cottage even if it's in to the start of school hols.

Firstly decide on area you wish to visit and then do a google search.
Think whether you want to self cater or stay in hotel need local amenities etc. I've just looked at West Wales accommodtion for 2 early July m-f costs approx £300 or less.

I just had a lovely break near Dunoon on the Cowal peninsula. I paid £229.00 for my cottage there.
