Trinity Estates

Hello,
Looking for some advice. We bought a new build just under 2 years ago, whilst Avant Holmes were still building on the estate. They told us that eventually Trinity Estates would take over and we would eventually pay them a monthly fee.
On the 25th April and without any prior warning we received a letter from Trinity Estates saying that by now we should have received a welcome pack from them (it was with that very letter!) and they had taken over management of the block of flats from Avant Holmes effect of the 1st March! They then said we needed to pay within 3 weeks a total of just over £900 to cover the period of March to October. We rang and complained and managed to set up a direct debit of £113 a month starting 1st June.
We received a letter today saying the payment on the 1st June would be £452 to cover the previous months. This was never explained to us and just wanted to know where we stand, am I in my rights to complain about this and that they should have given us prior knowledge especially since we didn't even know they had taken over until almost two months into the contract!
Thanks in advance.
Rob
