Dear All,
Last night I installed Norton 360 on my friends computer. When I ran it it was impossible to see the most of the writing and on-screen prompts. Then my friend told me he has had display problems from day one.
He opened up Internet Explorer - the fonts sizes were up in the air and he had a white background. He opened up the hotmail page and the font was so large it wouldn't fit onto the screen. I have tried all the usual settings adjustments that I know of to no avail.
He told me that various people have used his computer and it hasn't been the same since.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
The Humphmeister

Does he have the correct display driver installed? What resolution is the screen set at? By your description, I assume this is not just IE, but if it is, check your IE settings in ie/view/text size, and encodingEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Also what's the DPI setting? Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > General tab.
"Then my friend told me he has had display problems from day one." How long ago was this? Did he make any changes to hardware (e.g. graphics card) or monitor?
What graphics card is installed? What monitor - make & model - is he using?
"He told me that various people have used his computer and it hasn't been the same since." In that case, better rule out infection - see the Malware/Spyware Removal Guide for help. What security/protection is he currently using? G0
