Mortage requirements - previous accommodation?

Hello,

Myself and my girlfriend are looking to be first time buyers. I currently rent privately and she lives at home with parents.

I have a tenancy agreement, pay rent every month, good landlord etc. She obviously has none of this.

When it comes to applying for a joint mortgage will it be an issue that she wont have any previous tenancy agreement, proof of paying rent, landlord reference etc?

Thank you.

Mortgage company will not be interested in your tenancy, Landlord or rent payments so you are both in the same boat.

As a financial organisation they will have access to credit report so they will be interested about what is on there - credit accounts including current ac, credit cards, mobile phone, etc. Payments on those. Electoral role.

They will also be interested in income and employment history/status.

They may also need proof of income/outgoing in the form of bank statements.
