    Well, we've put the offer to her, just a case of waiting to see what happens. Just praying it doesn't freak her out and put her off buying our house.

    Was it successful? I'm also curious how it works. Give me an answer as soon as possible.

    No idea - not heard back from her to gauge her reaction to the idea - still got to view her house, too.
  • My parents did this some years ago, we upsized and they downsized. As far as i know all went fine, but i was very young at the time!

    As an update...we spoke about this as a family last night, and despite our buyer being happy for us to view her property, we think @mistertea above is correct - although the house is better that where we are, deep down, we still want to move where we originally planned (up North), and I think we made a quick decision on the back of the disappointment from the house falling through and the thought of an easy option seemed good.
