Acorn Stair Lift Removal

I'm hoping someone can advise us. We had a stair lift from Acorn Stair Lifts installed in my mother-in laws just before Christmas but she went in to hospital and passed away on the 29th December. We have been trying to get Acorn to come and remove the stair lift but they will only come if they have another job in the area or if we pay to have it removed (even though this has already been paid for in the initial cost).
I have used one of Martin's template letters and I am hoping to get some joy from that, and I am going through resolver.
Is there anything else we could do? All helpful advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Have you followed and exhausted their own complaints procedure?
What does their contract say about removal.0 -

Is it? I'd expect fitting costs to be included, but removal costs ... ?0 -
Anyone else noticing a trend for people starting threads not to bother to respond or even "thank"? # badmanners0

Pointless no doubt as the OP isnt going to come back but:
The terms do state they will collect at their own cost if you cancel (not that 'youve already paid for it') so I imagine if you want to dictate when, you have to pay.0
