    Afternoon.

Work done, some more planning done, a little gardening (until the rain came) and my fence stobs arrived. So, a productive and satisfying day so far.

My p key is still not working but I'm doing a copy and paste from a Word document meanwhile. I'll have to take the laptop down to Glasgow for sorting, probably mean a new keyboard!

Work stress is increasing as college heads towards the end of the academic year. There'll be a whole load of assessments to do and then there's the internal verification process to do for other courses, followed by an external verification visit. Not going to be a happy month until it's behind me.

My cleaner fell down the bottom two of my stairs yesterday as she was carrying stuff. Turns out she brought her own new vacuum to test out - I have a perfectly good AirRam one upstairs - and now has a very brightly coloured ankle. Looks painful.

Think it's time for a cuppa and a wee stretch on the sofa. Hugs to all those having a tough time.

Afternoon chums and well done Holly for being kind and getting your neighbour out to get a breath of sea air ,just the thing to perk you up.

Dumpling i used to knit some of the Jean Greenhowe things there is a lovely pattern for four little mice dressed in an outfit for the four different season of the year, they came out so well I ended up making loads of them :) I also did umpteen dressed 'brownie' dolls after a relatives daughter took hers to Brownies one evening, and all the little girls wanted one for themselves :)

Mrs TA neer worry about having a rant or unloading your worries ,we are all pals on here and are willing to share your load if it helps

camelot hope you cold clears up soon its miserable when the weather is so nice.

I took all of my nets down and they are all clean and blowing on the line at the moment Golly they were dreadful, and really needed the wash to get rid of the winter grime. Eldest Dd is popping in tomorrow to put them back up for me I have 8'6" high ceilings as its an old house so wobbling around on a chair isn't a great idea at my age :)

DGS Danny face timed my at lunchtime from NYC and he is a happy bunny as he is taking his Mrs to Las Vegas next week for a five day holiday for her birthday. Lovely to natter to him and he is looking very well, married life agrees with him I think :)

Right time to prep the veg for DD then I am off home as I am off out tonight to quiz night at the pub

Have a good evening chums xx
  • We have arrived in Cornwall after a fraught journey, OH seems unable to resist back street driving. I threatened at one point to drive straight back to Melton!!

We are in the piggery, no comments please. Have just had our supper
    In the breakfast room.

No idea what we are doing tomorrow, may go over to Seaton and watch the sea for a while. I think we will be going to Heligan on Thursday.

Thanks for starting us off Holly :T What a kind person you are & I hope you both enjoyed your trip to the seaside.

TA, so sorry about MrTA - I hope solutions are forthcomingtoday & I am sending you good wishes & hugs.

(((Hugs))) also to all of you having a tough time for whatever reason.

The left hand side of my face now looks like I have gone the full fifteen rounds with Henry Cooper  The gum/ear infection has come back with a vengeance & this time I cannot get food into my mouth - although some might say that is a good thing :rotfl: I do need to lose a few make that lots of lbs :D & the infection is so far up my face that its starting to close my eye :(:( + it hurts & the Ibuprofen doesn’t seem to be touching the pain :( Trying to get an appointment with the doctor to get antibiotics & pain relief :) I made a lovely bolognese with extra mushrooms & shells pasta & couldn’t enjoy it :( but everyone else did :rotfl::T:rotfl: apparently it was delicious :rotfl:

DB turned up at 12:30 even though not expected until teatime  Was keen to get on so he had a cup of tea, loaded the van with bags/boxes etc of rubbish to add to the rubbish he brought from Germany (rubbish disposal is very expensive there ) & he & my DH went to the Tip :T I think that was the 14th/15th Tip trip

The 10m by 3.5 m room where all the ‘stuff’ for the cs collection had been stored (covered practically ALL the floor space) is now empty :j:j They turned up on time & filled their van in double quick time - 23 mins :T

Of the four big pieces of furniture - one is coming to England to be sold, two are going to new friends for storage & use :rotfl: & the last one is a gift to the new owners:( - 2.2m high, three glass doors, dark wood bookcase (commissioned by DF at least 20 years ago) - no one would buy it :( probably as it is so large :rotfl:

DB & DH are probably leaving in the van Friday a.m., unloading at our house once they get past the six weeks of post piled up behind the front door , building DSis’s bed then DB is going back to Germany & DH is getting a flight back on Monday - the last seat @ 5 times the usual cost :mad: - as he needs to pick up his bike & lead DSis & I to the promised land - oh OK, our house :rotfl:

Obviously the first thing I am doing is booking an emergency dental appointment & having the tooth yanked :o

Anyway, I have wittered on long enough. :rotfl:
