Morning everyone and thanks for the start Holly enjoy your day out at the seaside, hope you indulge your inner child and paddle those toes
Good to hear from you TA sending gentle hugs and hope you hear something positive soon
Likewise for Dumpling on the hugs, take care m’dear.
Cloudy and quite cold here in a East Anglia so have just enjoyed boiled egg and soldiers and now on second cup of coffee.
Items on the list for today include a trip to the hospice shop with a bag of unwanted clothes, I have been gradually whittling down my wardrobe and my final goal is something really quite compact, along the lines of the 30 pieces etc. More quality and less quantity iyswim.
As well as that I need to fill my car up with petrol and, fingers crossed, the weather will warm up enough this afternoon to give Lu a bath, was sent a picture by yard owner first thing this morning and apparently it’s acceptable to lay down with your face in a poo  :rotfl:
Have fun with your bark Gers
Take care folks x0 -
Morning all,
TA I'm sorry to hear of MrTA's poor health but i'm glad youve posted.... Good news or bad, i like to think we are here for eachother.
Dumpling sorry to hear your so low. Hopefully your new bathroom will be finished soon and that it will boost your spirits a little.
Holly enjoy your day at the sea side. Wish i was you.
Gers Ive been following your progress on the other thread. Its coming along nicely.
So many of us with problems... i must admit i had my own 'wobble' last night after the kids had gone. I opened one of my kitchen cupboards and a load of stuff fell at my feet. Baby stuff, Prodigals washing that he didnt take yesterday and i realized my family is harder work now than when they were all little...... Then i came to realize that i'd let life pass me by. I see no future... this is it now and the realization scared me.
Moving swiftly on... A quiet day in for me. Blackun still has dodgy bowels so no walkies. Its the medication she takes unfortunately. She has to have it after her food as it is hard on the stomach lining.
Anyway...
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all,
RedRuby - Thank you for asking. It's not been re-arranged. She went quiet on me for a while (ignored me) and then eventually came back to say she's been busy, her heads up her bum etc etc. I took it with a pinch of salt given that she cancelled the last date. I'm losing faith.
I'm guilty of giving too much of myself in these sort of situations. Of getting my hopes up or imagining 'what if'. Only to end up feeling let down or disappointed. It's another reason why I've been single for a couple of years and not really been out on lots of dates or anything. She's the receptionist at my barbers and I'm there on Saturday. I expect I'll see her then and we'll see what she says.
Anyway...BBQ last night which was brilliant. Can't whack a good BBQ in the sun. Then played football and squeezed in some housework. That being said, I need to do more tonight.
HH - Safe travels today
TA - It's lovely to have you back and I'm sorry things haven't gotten better.
Dumpling - Remember, you can always get stuff off your chest here. Just writing it out can help.0 -
Morning all
Lovely bright day here but its very windy, in fact the wind woke me up this morning !!
The plumber has been this morning and confirmed that the floor problem is indeed a water leek but its under the floor which is encased in concrete !! This is good news for us as the insurance company were trying to re-claim the money from the kitchen fitters (which was OH) they were trying to blame the leek on the sink or d DW !! the plumber said its like a bucket of water a day coming up through the floor each day !!, we can get onto it now and start sorting the problem !
DD and I are off out shopping today I need to get things for the holiday and she is looking for house bits and bobs.
Dinner tonight will be pizza and salad so nice and easy when we get back.
TA I am sorry to hear Mr TA has been so poorly, I hope todays appointment brings some answers xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Hi all,
Not sure why I didn't get around to posting on Sunday, wasn't particularly busy, just pottering. Yesterday work was manic, today should be more at my own pace, although I do have a few annoying tasks (and people!) to deal with.
Holly - so glad you are going back to the seaside, I wish I could come with you, really need some sea air!
TA - good to hear from you but I am sorry Mr TA is not doing so well. I hope today brings answers of some sort. You definitely needs your girls night, it must be so stressful for you.
dumpling - sorry you are feeling down. I understand the feelings about the workmen in the house. People we've had have been perfectly lovely but it doesn't stop you hating every minute of it and feeling constantly on edge. I hope the lovely new bathroom at the end of it will make it worth it.
silver-oldie - we have a Euonymus too that needs tackling and I can also see that getting everywhere
Judi - you have such a lot on, not surprising you have a wobble every now and again, hope your quiet day in is just that.
Sausages tonight I think. Also have bananas to use up so they will either go into a cake or maybe just with custardLooking forward to a quiet evening catching up on a bit of TV. Boring maybe, but fine by me.
Hugs/spoons/thoughts as needed to those who want them. Have a good day all.

Morning all
Hugs and spoons to those in need. Seems quite a lot of you/us at the moment.
Dull and misty here at the moment, hopefully it will burn off soon as I have to do a poo run to the allotments. Hard work but it goes towards the upkeep of the production team!! Will drag DS out of his pit to help me. I'll be glad when he starts his new job though
Lainey. I so understand about the delights of lying in 'orrible things. One of our oldies was a grey and showed every mark. Not quite as visible on chesnut or bays thankfully. Seems odd to think we had 5 in stables only a few years ago, and now down to the 2. I do miss them.
Mrs M has been drooling over a little driving pony a friend has just acquired; it does seem a cutey . Oh well, will have to sell a lot more poo to afford another one again.
Take carer all

TA, I'm sorry Mr TA isn't doing so well, I hope the neurologist can help.
Dumpling, thinking about you, I hope your anxiety lessens today.
Happy birthday AOD's son. Holly enjoy your day.
We're back in Bedfordshire - I had a really good night's sleep. We'll be here for two days then off to Norfolk again on Thursday. We have to take Ziggy back to DD tomorrow. I said May was mad for us.
DH is supposed to be working from home today but he's still lingering in his nightwear.
DD and SiL have their hospital appointment tomorrow, fingers crossed it goes well. She always has a manic May crossing the country judging cocktail competitions, she was in Manchester yesterday.
We must spend a few hours in the garden before we go away again or it will be a jungle. I also want to spend a few hours in my sewing room.0 -
Morning all, hugs to all that need one.
Holly - I could do with a day like that! Unfortunately I have training at work instead...
AOD - happy birthday to your son. I turned 10 years older than that yesterday!
TA - so sorry to hear Mr TA is so poorly. Let's hope you get some answers today.
Dumpling - sorry you're so down right now. I've just come through the other side of a bit of a dark time myself. Just look after you.
Have the joy of training this afternoon in another office so late finish. Quick carbonara for dinner - DH will have to fend for himself. Had dinner out yesterday as a birthday treat - no washing up!
Hope you all have a good day x0 -
Afternoon all
Thanks for the thread Holly, hugs to the TAs and Dumpling.
I've been looking after Dgd this morning from 7:30, we went shopping to by socks for all the dgd's, and bought a Troll dress that was reduced.
Then we went to the park, back home for lunch and now she's gone to nursery and the dog is sitting on my knee.
I'm needed again at 3 o'clock so I'll stay here until then and go home around
5ish, then back to collect CHS at 9:30 tonight.
The new batteries should last 5 to 10 years when we get them and the provide all the power for the boat.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0
