Missed connection outside UK - Virgin travel insurance

I'm a bit confused my Virgin Travel insurance. I've got the most costly version of it (annual multi-trip too).
If I miss a connecting flight outside the UK due to a delay due to airport transfers/security/screening whatever, am I covered by the insurance for any resultant flight/hotel costs to get to my destination ASAP?
Thanks!

If the ticket is sold as a "connecting flight" by the airlines then it's their responsibility to get you to your destination.
Or have you bought 2 completely independent tickets?0 -
What does the policy say about cover for delays? That should give you the answer you're looking for, and if it doesn't then ringing Virgin is probably the quickest way to get a definitive answer.0

If you get an answer from Virgin, can you let us all know.
Normally cover is only for missed connections in and out of the UK
