As you suggest, the Council of Mortgage Lender's Handbook suggests that Halifax will accept an ABC+ warranty.
See: https://www.cml.org.uk/lenders-handbook/englandandwales/question-list/1913/
But the fact that some other lenders don't seem accept it would also worry me. When reselling the property, some buyers might not want to proceed, if their preferred lender won't accept ABC+.0 -
What does your solicitor say, Angie?Health Warning: I am happy to occasionally comment on building matters on the forum. However it is simply not possible to give comprehensive professional technical advice on an internet forum. Any comments made are therefore only of a general nature to point you in what is hopefully the right direction.0

Good point, Eddy. For some reason this came up on my feed as a thread from today. Dunno what happened there as I don't take to browsing old, old threads.

Right, I've worked it out. Someone posted a message immediately before mine then deleted it.
