Car insurance - moving house

I need a new car insurance policy to start on 1st June but know I am moving house at the end of July and have rang 3 insurers to ask about changes to the cost when I move (ahead of taking out a policy) but they all say they can't give me a price, I would have to commit to the policy and pay the (inevitable) increase or cancellation fee of £40-£50 when I move! Can this be right? Is there any way I can find an insurer who can offer me some assurance that I won't be stung with huge costs when I move?

All you can do is get dummy quotes for the 2 addresses and see how they compare.

Try Direct Line they have stopped charging for any changes to their policies though of course the premium may increase due to change of location.
