Moved direct debit to different account then switched it - now payment date missed?

So I wanted to make use of the Nationwide referral bonus by switching my Natwest account.
To do so, I needed two direct debits. I logged into my Ovo Energy and my Anglian Water accounts and moved them from a Halifax account to the Natwest account.
I then switched the Natwest account to Nationwide.
The Ovo direct debit has been taken out with no problems, but the Anglian Water direct debit has not been taken out of either the Halifax, Natwest, or Nationwide account, and was due on 1st May.
My Anglian Water billing page shows the Natwest details, and my switch letter from Nationwide lists both the Ovo and Anglian Water direct debits as having been switched over.
Do I contact the bank or Anglian Water to sort it out? I don't want to get dinged for bill nonpayment when they've had valid bank details to use.

Contact Nationwide in the first instance - when switching it's the receiving bank's responsibility to resolve issues (which also means that they should make good any losses arising from this). They may argue that they advised Anglian Water of the new details though, in which case you'd be justified in challenging Anglian Water if they tried to impose a charge....0
