Car insurance - car damaged moving vehicle after an accident

I was involved in a car accident recently - I was at the head of a busy motorway roundabout and the car behind drove into the back of mine. The driver of that vehicle has accepted liability. Immediately after the accident, I drove my car on to the verge to get it out of the way of all the on-coming traffic. However, after exchanging contact details, when I drove away, my front bumper caught something on the verge (which was very uneven) and it was pulled out of place and scratched. Can I claim the cost of repair from the driver of the other vehicle? Even though the damage was not a direct result of the original accident, but for that accident I would not have needed to drive my car on to the verge.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
