Despite advice given I did try the mediation service. Offered £30, they came down to £150. I said poke it. Date now set for Feb 19.0

Jeez... it’s a small claims court, not a criminal court. Get your partner to “man up” (excuse the pun).
How do I know it’s your partner? In the link to your video and photographs, you have unredacted images of your paperwork showing your partners name as the defendant and you also have at least one photo showing the full VRN of the camper van. Additionally, you also show all the case reference numbers on some of the documents.
So, against good advice on here from volunteers who give up much time and effort to assist you, you end up trying to mediate the amount you are willing to pay the rip off merchants and rogues who masquerade as PPCs. All because your partner won’t go to small claims court to defend the claim. I wonder how she would cope if summonsed to a higher court.
Anyway, maybe a bit late now... you need to redact the images in your link to the documents and photos. Based on that evidence, if the PPC or their solicitors have had a snoop at this thread, they will know exactly who they are dealing with, including yourself as your username is a giveaway. :doh:0 -
Is there anyway to find out if the trial fee has been paid? Due in court in next few weeks and the date for BW to pay trial fees has now passed, but they still seem keen to try and settle.
I'm wondering if they missed their deadline, does it mean there is no case to answer to?0 -
You can ring the local court.
Then show us your draft WS and evidence as you must be close to the deadline.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
