Minehead
There is a Tesco just down the road (about a quarter of a mile) buy all your soft drinks and booze from there, take you drinks into the skyline and save on paying more expesive drinks on site.
There are no keys to chalets anymore, the locks work on a credit card type entry system and are programmed to open the door at your specified arrival time (so even if you arrive early you won't get in your chalet any earlier) but you can make use of other facilities, i.e. Aquasplash, which is really good !, has a normal pool, a toddlers pool, water chutes and tidal wave pool.
Skyline has all the usual fast food restaurants, Burgerking, Pizza Hut, but if Mc Donalds is your burger of choic then there's one just outside the complex., the skyline has family entertainment throughout the day (ideal for kids 2-11) if you have kids 3-8 then they will love Noddyland.
The road from M5 to Minehead seems never ending ! (about an hour), absolutely stunning place though, if you like beautiful countryside then you'll love it round there. Porlock weir, Dunster Castle, Lynton & Lynmouth are all places of beauty, oh and a journey on the West Somerset Railway is just lovely (steam train).
