that the average UK adult has 2.7 credit cards. Does this sound right to you?

Thought it would be a lot more tbh.

I suppose I have two but with all the tarting I thought it would be more.

There will be a few million with none - those on low incomes and benefits. A few million more like me with just the one. Many million like the wife with two (but she only uses the Nationwide card when she goes overseas). Three would be a lot, IMO, so to reach an average of 2.7 there have got to be a large number of folks with a large number of cards.

I'm surprised the average is so high ..... perhaps many of those cards are not actually active, they just haven't been cancelled by the owners.

I haven't got a single one and proud of it- if you can't debit then you usually shouldn't credit! Unless of course you're doing that very complicated interest thing. Too much for my tiny brain!

I only have one credit card (a 0% one), but I have a friend with 5 credit cards ans another with 7!! Thankfully most of them have zero balances, I think.
