Hi

I!!!8217;m a sole trader and need a new phone. I currently use my phone about 25% for business. I need to upgrade and thought about buying a new phone. Can I offset some of this purchase against my tax paid?

What!!!8217;s the best way to do it? Keep my current phone and by a new one to use as a business phone and claim the whole amount as an expense?

Or buy a new one to replace my current one and claim for 25% of the cost?

Have I understood the rules correctly? Are any of the above even possible?

Thanks
