Digital Photo Frame Question

I am thinking of getting my daughter a digital picture frame for her birthday. Doing my research, it seems that only the really expensive ones support XD cards to match my daughter's Fuji camera. If you go for one of the cheaper ones that just do SD/MMC/MS cards, you have to add in a suitable card and a USB card reader to get the files from the PC onto the card.
I've found a nicely-priced frame (Vivitar 7" - ASDA Online - £39.99) with a USB interface - but does this mean that it has some internal memory or do you still need a memory card for this?

The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

According to the specs you still need a memory card inserted for the frame to work, they only take sd/compact flash & MMC cards could you not buy a cheap sd card & copy photos from pc to frame on it?We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

I agree, just buy a SD card (try play.com), transfer the pictures from the camera to your PC then transfer them to the SD card. That way you can leave the XD card in the camera and not have to take it out to use the frame!
You can pick up card readers (to transfer the pics from your PC to SD card) fairly cheap online too......0 -
