Back in 2010 I bought a car from Carcraft which was financed by Barclays. I have contacted Barclays to reclaim my PPI and they have replied stating that this business has gone into liquidation. This means that we will be unable to look into this complaint any further.
You will need to direct your enquiry to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
Is this correct or are Barclays just trying to pass the buck?

Barclays have no liability. They didnt sell it to you. Carcraft did. So, they are correct.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

Barclays are correct.
Since UK Car Group Limited t/a Carcraft went pop in 2015, any PPI complaint needs to be addressed to the FSCS.

I have started my claim with FSCS regarding the above PPI claim only problem being the options given for making the claim are 1. I could not claim on the policy; 2.I have been a victim of fraud or theft; 3. I was due proceeds from my policy, but no funds were available; or 4. No Insurance policy was arranged. Does anyone have advice on which option I should choose. I have emailed the FSCS and their response was to enter the reason I was missold the PPI but it is none of these.
. Please help

If none of the options actually apply, then you won't get a refund from FSCS I'm afraid.0 -
Go with number 1 and then put the reasons you were mis sold.0
