Hi all,
Received a Parking Charge Notice about a year ago from Wing Parking who work behalf of Harginey Council apparently. Ignored the ticket initially then completely forgot about it. Found it recently and ran it through their website, came up as £100 and 300 days overdue. Haven't received any correspondence or follow ups or notices about this ticket at all, perhaps they forgot about it? Im asking if private companies have a time limit to catch up or issue reminders before the ticket becomes void?
Thanks for the help :j

Obviously six years, like any debt.
I expect your V5 is registered to an old address with the DVLA, and letters went to your old address. You would have been sent a Notice to Keeper, assuming you are the keeper (not a company car)?
You could have beaten this so very, very easily by appealing, not ignoring it. Silly idea to ignore.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, the time limit is six years.0

V5 is up to date even prior to the ticket, haven't moved since but no correspondence0

I wonder if Wing were banned temporarily by the DVLA at the time?! Seems most odd.
Send an email to the DVLA and ask when Wing Parking applied for your data in 2017 or 2018, or at all. There is NO CHARGE for you asking that question, if you are the rk.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I will do first thing, I find it hard to believe they have tried hard enough to contact me, surely they would find a mobile/landline to contact the RK if the payment was overdue by a year?0

No, most don't do that, but usually they will have got your data from the DVLA and bombarded you with letters. That's why I wondered if Wing couldn't get the data (albeit we do not know of them being banned).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
