Dubious CCJ for NHS Aintree

Who said I received a court claim in april?0
-
To get a CCJ by default in May means the claim came no later than mid April.
The Claimant has to give you 30 days notice before issuing a claim, thus the latest a lbcca could come was mid March.
Thus being away in Jan & Feb is irrelevant! (And you already posted who destroyed the correspondence!)0 -

I received no claim papers in April, or claim papers full stop, come to think of it. Does that make any difference?0 -
My comments were in answer to your point about being away in Jan and Feb being irrelevant. The court will know when they sent the claim! (As will the claimant know when they sent the lbcca - the claimant can contest a set aside application)
The correspondence from the court presumably came later as the default ccj was issued this month.
If you don't respond to a court claim the claimant can get judgement against you after just 14 days from date of service have passed
(You do need to be certain your set aside will succeed as your ccj will be much older than a month by the time of the set aside hearing - so if it fails then the ccj remains on your record the 6 years)0 -
Good. Almost every one works v a PPC.Going for a set aside. Will cost me more and will be more effort but I am prepared to give it a go.
ACT QUICKLY, IN MAY, GET THE N244 AND DRAFT ORDER & WS & FEE SUBMITTED TO THE COURT NEXT WEEK.
Do not wait till June, each month looks like you didn't act quickly.

I settled in full on Monday of this week. When asked, the Solicitor stated that I neednt do anymore and that they would inform the court 3 days after payment (today). Quite frankly I dont trust them and will call the court early next week to make sure. In the meantime I have emailed my local MP regarding the whole affair.0
