Sky advice when someone passes away

Hi,
I'm after a little advice please. One of my parents passed away recently and the sky account is in their name. The direct debits are still going out to pay the account but that's fine. My question is if I ring them to advise them of my parents passing with they just transfer into my other parents name on the old contract or will they class it as a new contract?
Many thanks

When I was in that situation, every company wanted to close the existing account and set up a new one.
They may require a copy of the death certificate to prove that you're not trying to shut down someone else's account without consent.
I'd just give them a call.0 -
Most companies of this size have a bereavement team. Ask for them.0

Sky certainly do. Is the bank account a joint account: if not it should have been frozen.
The contract became void upon the death of your parent. So a new account should be set up.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
