Bus lane ticket
evening all..
ive just received a bus lane ticket that i am guilty of, it was emailed to me by my lease company today (8/5/18). my question is the length of time it has taken to arrive.
the offence was on the 9th JANUARY!
bizarrely the ticket states that i have to pay it within a certain time etc etc
but then adds that the orignal ticket was cancelled on 25/4/18 and "the date of this penalty charge notice is 26/4/18"... like they ran out of time so just cancelled the original ticket and re-issued it.. really?? can they do that?
what is the point of having a time restriction if they can just cancel it an re-issue a new one?
any help greatfully received

It has probably taken so long because the car hire company took a long time to provide them with your details. Normally with these tickets if you pay quickly you get a hefty discount which would have expired ages ago with the original ticket, the new one should give you that option back, although the hire car company are likely to extend your woes by charging you an admin fee to deal with this.0

It had to be reissued because the lease company completed a driver identification form so a new ticket was made out to the named driver, not the registered keeper.0
