Problems with iva company

I am looking for some advice please.
Myself and my partner entered in to an iva last June. When we set up the Iva we were asked to extend to 6 years due to the amount of money we owed and to ensure the creditors received enough money. We agreed to this.
2 months ago the creditor we owed the largest amount of money to wrote to us to tell us they had written off the debt and did not require any further payments from us. I emailed the Iva company immediately with a copy of the letter and asked them to remove them from the list of creditors. I also asked if it would be possible to revert to the 5 year iva as now our debt was considerably less (63,000 was written off).
They acknowledged my email but did not respond
I resent it 4 more times- still with no response. I phoned them on 2 occasions and I was told someone was looking at it. I also wrote to them about it.
Still I have heard nothing back (first contact was made 2 months ago).
I am now a bit concerned as to why they are not getting back to me and wondered what I could do moving forward. Any advice.would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Hi there and welcome to MSE,
At this stage you could consider a complaint to your IP and the IVA company about the communication you have experienced. Do this as a letter, recorded delivery (as they don't appear to be acknowledging the emails you are sending).
Make it clear how you want this resolved and if they are unable to do this, ask them for a copy of their complaints procedure. They are likely to have an internal process first to try and resolve this, but failing that you can escalate the matter to their authorising body. Beyond that you can consider going to the Insolvency Service - if required - hopefully it won't get to that stage.
I will also add that it is very unusual for a creditor to agree to write off a debt whilst in an IVA - especially such a large debt - so, in the interest of being balanced, I can imagine this will take some time to look into to check it won't be an issue later on. However, I appreciate you at least want an update on what's happening.
