Currently, the standard rate is 15.9% APR, but remember this rate is variable, so may have soared even higher by January/February next year
People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.
  • Mine jumped from 18.9% to 29.9% from November. However I have negotiated it down to 23.9% , still crippling me though and I am going to use savings to pay off my £1000 balance.
Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time
  • if virgin credit card are as incompetant as virgin media then dont go with them.
it cost me £50 in premium rate telephone calls to their customer service team for them to tell me that all the computers in our house were corrupt and thats why the net wasnt working (even though we could go to then uni comuter clusters and the wireless would work) and then trying to ring cancellation line 4 times and being on hold for 30 mns each time before hanging up because of the cost as it was an 0845 number then giving in and getting up at 8am (im a student - i dont do 8ams unless im still awake from the night before lol) to ring them as soon as they open to cancel for them to then put me through to someone on technial support who said the reason my net wasnt working (and hadnt been working after £50 of phone calls, three visits from the engineers and a month of the net not working) was because someone hadnt registered my modem properly.

probably not really appropriate for the credit card forum lol but needed to have a rant about them
