Anyone any recommendations as to where i can get an MRI scan done and cost?

It seems there is a significant wait to get it done on the NHS.

    Ulster Independent Clinic http://ulsterindependentclinic.com/
    Kingsbridge Hospital http://3fivetwo.com/
    Blackrock Clinic Dublin http://www.blackrock-clinic.ie/

Cost anything from £5/600 upwards depending on scan. Blackrock clinic used to be a cheaper option but not sure if that still holds.

The options above are correct though your specialist should be able to guide you. As for cost - Depends entirely what part of the body requires an MRI!

Be aware that if you get a scan in the ROI, it can pose difficulties if there are questions over the reporting.

Alliance medical were the cheapest in Belfast for a recent lumbar scan my uncle had to get. I personally called around every clinic in Belfast. From memory it was under £250. The Ulster were asking £500.

  • For the North west of England including Lancashire and Cheshire MRI master diagnostics . Prices start from around 299 pounds .

You can email them at mriscanning@gmail.com
  • I believe they can offer same day scans aswell with a complete report from the radiologist and a cd

As an update i've had an X Ray done via my doctor so awaiting the results of that. Next step MRI if that doesnt show any bone / structure related issues.
