Hi I'm looking at options to protect my mother that has carers visiting,has anyone ever bought a "secret voice recorder" that has proven to record a good quality of sound,although this may be tricky if a tv is on in the room,I have seen them disguised as usb sticks etc,I was just wondering if anyone has purchased one that they thought was good,the aim is to record some of my mothers carers,I am not anti carers in fact she has some very good carers but she has a couple that do as they please and the other good carers are also aware that they are not suited to this job,I am present the great majority of the time and would like to see if she is spoken to in the same way when I am not present or if there is a marked difference in the respect given to her

Betcha the carers would insist that their "civil rights" wuz being violated .... and you need to consider;

"It is illegal to fit spy cameras to a business or residential property that you do not own or in which you don!!!8217;t have legal occupancy."0 -

IIRC some mobile phones can be set to silently auto-answer incoming calls, so if you know approx. when the carers are attending you could listen in.
That said, this and your Q on cams suggest you've lost confidence in the care provider.
Maybe best to discuss concerns with Social Services first and ask about changing provider?0 -
