My chap booked with Irish Ferries to travel from Pembroke to Rosslare this coming Friday. He booked online where it stated that paying by debit card would not result in any additional fees being paid - wrong! They actually charge you an additional £3 for using credit and debit cards.
You just need to beware really - he is currently trying to get a refund of this unnecessary and excessive charge.

Why is unneccessary, the company needs to process the transactions and i believe that costs money to do so, maybe someone could confirm it for meNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

It is when they claim not to charge you for using your debit card and then do so - then it becomes unnecessary. £3 is also excessive when most companies charge 50p for using a credit card.
This is just an opinion and our experience - it doesnt mean to say that you have to agree with it Mr Ronaldo!0
