Hi hoping for some advice.

We suffered with poor drainage over the past 2 years until we put in some drainage, the trouble is I can seed and seed the garden and I still have bad patches.

It's these little :naughty::mad::mad: LeatherJackets (baby daddy longlegs).I've gone round the edge of the garden today after cutting then straightening up the edges and filled the bottom of a bucket with them

Any tips of what I can use to get rid of them ?

Read a little about nematodes has anybody had any success?

I've heard of people placing dark plastic on the lawn for a day and removing it the following morning; apparently the jackets come up to the surface.

You can then try and remove by hand or pray to the bird gods.

I have heard the same, cover and the birds will have them for breakfast

Of course they are also a lovely supper for badgers, who will happily dig up your lawn to get at them once the word gets out

Yep covering the grass Def works we left a large planter on the grass with some big pots after I jet washed the slabs then when I moved them this afternoon I found a few at the surface.

I'll cover parts of the garden tonight with left over compost bags.

Currently we've a bucket that I'm filling for the birds !!!
