Should I open a savings account now or after our house sale?

I was thinking about doing it once we have a date for completion, I presume when we apply for the account the fact we have a permanent address would help?
Thanks

Why don't you open the account now under your current address and then change the details once you move? Banks usually check out your address electronically, so your new one will probably take a little time to register anyway which might cause some delay. I don't think you could open an account giving an address you haven't moved into yet even if you have a completion date - it's not 100% certain.0

Yes will do, but do I do it in hubbys name or joint. If in hubbys name the interest earned wouldn't take him to a 40% tax payer. If in mine it would, but a joint account?
