help please to change microsoft/Skype account primary alias.

Owing to change of email provider (not outlook) I am going through the huge process of changing logins and associated records that have been linked to the old email address.

Going round in circles with Skype and the linked Microsoft account. Help please to make some progress to implement changes here.

So far I have logged in online to Skype and added a new alert email address successfully and made it 'primary' and deleted the defunct email address.
The old email address was my primary alias so I sell want to change that too. However adding my new email address as an alias goes through the verification process, sends a link to the new address which I click on that then sends me to a new window with my account info. But the new alias cannot be made primary as it tells me it needs verification. Hence going round in a loop and not making progress.....:mad:

I have checked that I use the correct link (not the one that is to reject verification) and the quoted address (to be verified) in that verification email is correct.

Can anyone help an old duffer? It was much easier when Skype was not linked to a Microsoft account, outlook or Xbox neither of the latter which I use!!!!

After a good night's sleep a bit of lateral thinking......

It has been a problem sending back the info from the email address to verify the account to account.live.com :cool:

So copied the link and corresponding data into my browser address bar and done.:T:j
