Vanquis messing up mainstream lending?

But their system should have no way of knowing who your creditors are.
I would query this with Barclays0 -

OP has mentioned something about a mortgage. I wonder if they provided Barclays with a full copy of their credit report. Or, perhaps, mentioned they had a Vanquis card.
Thanks for the replies all - I've not mentioned it but I am going to ask why 6 months ago it didn't matter but suddenly it does. That's the bit that is annoying me right now.0 -
As others have said Barclays will have no way of knowing that you hold a Vanquis credit card unless you told them0

I have both.0

I'd suggest if you want a mortgage and have issues with their credit, find a specialist broker who can get you the right deal, worth their weight in gold
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

If you bank with Barclays then I can only assume they can see who you make payments to. Have they seen your bank statements by looking at your account themselves or have you given them the information previously?0

I no longer have issues with credit - As I said from the start my score was not top on both agencies and also I had 6 years of excellent repayment conduct.
I've had a Tesco Current account for 4 years and I've just got a massive loan instead of the Mortgage to do what I need - So I will be transferring away from Barclays next week anyway
Thanks for all your replies but that's the end of my topic.0
