Caxtonfx Travel Card

Good morning all,
Apologies if this has been asked and answered already: I have read through several related threads and searched, but didn't see anything directly relevant. I posted on the main thread about prepaid card, but didn't get any responses.
I am just in the process of signing up for a Caxtonfx card, via Topcashback and have a quick question:
Topcashback give different cash back rates, depending on initial load on the card. However, in going through the registration process for the card, it asks for an initial top-up / deposit of £10+ to order the card. Does anyone know if this is the point at which I have to load sufficient funds to achieve the limit for cashback, or will this be the money I load once the card arrives. I had hoped to order the card with £10 and then load holiday spending money closer to the date of travel, as it is currently in savings accounts and earning interest, albeit only small amounts. It is rather confusing on the Caxton website, as sometimes they refer to this initial payment as 'a deposit', and as 'a top-up' or 'load' at other times.
Just to say, before anyone advises that this is not the best card to take / use, I have Clarity and Revolute cards too; this is just my back-up as I am doing lots of travelling this year.
Thank you in anticipation.

If you want a backup card then open a Starling account (or Monzo if you prefer). There isn't a charge.
These are both Internet based bank accounts that run on smartphone apps.
The big advantage of these is that they are denominated in £ so you can use them at home but when used overseas you get the Mastercard rate of exchange. Transactions appear instantly on your phone showing the rate of exchange used so you instantly know if someone is ripping you off or have cloned your card. All you need is a smartphone and a data connection. I'm on 3 which covers all the countries I need.
I used my Monzo card on a trip to Australia via Hong Kong and Singapore and rarely had to resort to cash. I also took the Clarity card for larger purchases and car hire deposits.
Although I have a Caxton card I never even considered using it. Its got a nil balance on it but I took it with me as a final resort should I encounter problems with the other cards.
There are plenty of other posts in this forum saying how good these cards are.0
