Executor reimbursement crazy ££

executor reimbursement loss of rperanings 525 per day

So thenexecutor of my grandmother's will wants 525£ per day for 4 days as loss of earnings.

Aswell as hotels, flights, beverages, car rental etc and has totalled into 2700gbp

Now I know for a fact this executor doesn't earn 525 per day. She is a dossier. And my grandmother even lame her money.

Now wah happens, how can she prove her income legally is 525 per day?

Do you actually know what a dossier is? If so, what does it mean to describe a person as one?

Unless they are a professional, they cannot claim loss of earnings.

A lay executor can ONLY claim REASONABLE out of pocket actually incurred. They cannot claim loss of earnings so no need to prove the amount. What they are attempting to do is is criminal.

Beverages? Does the executor normally abstain from any kind of liquid intake but felt it a necessary evil when handling the estate? I wouldn't even accept this as a reasonable expense.

unfortunately, I'm just going through a similar thing. My uncle has claimed over £20,000 for kitting out the flat he has inherited from my mother. I fought him for a year legally but in the end I gave in,. just to give you an idea, it has cost me £6.5 K, so it's not cheap to go down the legal route.. best of luck to you, it's a nightmare situation.

Perhaps the only answer with such greedy people is to publicly expose them in the press. Not something I would normally advocate but public shunning can be a powerful weapon.

Does the will provide for her to be reimbursed on such a grand scale, specifically referring to loss of earnings? If not, and if she isn't a professional executor appointed to act as such under the terms of the will, reasonable out of pocket expenses are the only things she can claim. Remind her that executors are personally liable if they act improperly.
