I just posted this on Love2Shop!!!8217;s Facebook page:

Our voucher expired at end of a March too and surprise surprise they won!!!8217;t replace it. These vouchers are an alternative to cash that someone has bought and paid for possibly at a discount to face value and they negotiate a deal with retailers that honour them. Effectively they get their cake and eat it. Can you imagine if the five pound note or tenner in your pocket had an expiry date on it? It ain!!!8217;t much different is it. L2S you ought to be ashamed. Staff I know you need jobs but you should seek employment with an alternative company that doesn!!!8217;t effectively rob its customers.
Their entire business model is based on the fact that they KNOW that a certain percentage of vouchers will never be honoured and that then adds more profit to their bottom line. Morally questionable behaviour IMHO. Can I suggest everyone who has suffered this injustice get yourselves over to Moneysavingexpert and Martin Lewis and get him to add pressure to this lot and hopefully put them out of business! Or a law change to make it illegal to put an expiry date on vo7chers. C!!!8217;mon Martin

I am one of nearly 90 1star reviews almost all with the same complaint, there must be hundreds or thousands that haven!!!8217;t posted reviews. Scummy business model that needs challenging and making illegal as it predates on some of the most vulnerable people.

Sorry, this is going to sound harsh...

So you got a voucher with a known expiry date - you didnt use it before it expired, and somehow its someone else fault? here's one for you - check the date and use it before it expires! Problem solved.

That goes for many offers from many sources .
A certain percentage will fail due to the users failing to read .

Love2Shop vouchers are not an alternative to cash.

    Cash is cash.

Vouchers are cash that someone has spoilt by time limiting and place limiting their use.

Just don't be dense and spend your vouchers in the time limit. or, just use actual cash...

Seriously - surely the most vulnerable will be using asap rather than hanging on to them potentially until expiry date is passed :rotfl:

    No, just no.
I like vouchers - I can buy them for slightly less than cash value, and I have the intellectual fortitude to use them before the expiry date.

Can't remember the last time I paid full whack for a Vue cinema ticket!

    They're valid for a year, ..........
I have got some LTS in front of me that I have had for some time. They are valid until 31.03.2020 so considerably more than a year.

I notice none of you quote this bit. Truth hurts doesn,t it

This is supposed to be a money saving forum not a let,s give money away forum. It,s a shame to see members who obviously have far too much time on their hands judging by their post count missing the entire point of this forum and turning into keyboard warriors/trolls. Sad, sad people.

However, it's not a 'make me feel good by agreeing that I was right even though it was my own mistake' forum.

If you think a campaign is needed then why aren't you starting one yourself rather than expecting somebody else to do it for you?

    School's out already...... :rotfl:

When you start your campaign, could you possibly add in retailers please? They buy stuff and then sell it to us for a higher price, therefore making a profit at our expense! Would you believe it, but their entire business model is based on the fact they charge us more than they pay for them!

Oh, and also, those dastardly supermarkets as well. I bought a pint of milk last week and it has now gone past the use by date but I haven't used the whole pint. I went back and they had to cheek to refuse to replace it for me! I explained I was on holiday for the last few days so hadn't had the chance to use it all, but it made no difference. Outrageous!

Omg majority of vouchers and gift cards have an expiry date. Just spend them in time.
If you haven!!!8217;t spent them in time then tough.
