hi i am after a bit of advice has this happened to anyone else and what did you dolast week i applied for a standard citi bank account did the application online printed it out signed put all my paperwork that i had in as i dont have a cheque book to send a check i sent tons of paperwork and a letter stating that i do not own a cheque book or any photo id but sent them my origional copy stating that i am entitled to income support3 days later i had a phone call from a citi bank member of staff asking for me to send a cheque i replyed i do not have one and all the paperwork i sent was all that i had ther was cataulog statements,waterbills,benifit letters,post office account statement,child tax credit award letter,child trust fund letter,council tax,rent statementshe said that other than going to one of ther four london banks to apply for an account there was nothing they could do my application could not be sucsessful so as i live 70 miles from london i said ok never mind but will you send all my documents back as they are my only copies he assured me they would be you ve probably already guessed it but receive the smallest envelope thismorining form citi bank with one letter in it sayin my application had been turned down and here are my documents returned to meas i said i received one peice of paper the letter from them none of my documents
