I will try to keep the cats in at night but they won't like it and may fight ..
I am considering a magnet cat flap and they already have several litter trays indoors
    Thanks

If you can run to it the ones that work on the cats microchip are a far better solution. Devices attached to a collar will enevitable get lost, the chip is there for life.

The cat may be lost - it's worth posting on your local "lost pets" group on Facebook, along with a description of the cat. Someone, somewhere may be missing their beloved moggy.

Just keep the feral cat out. Is that difficult for some reason?

I have skunks, possums, raccoons and coyotes outside my house every night but I don't let them inside to wander about and terrorize (keeping the feral cat out \y cats!
Yes it is - that is the problem our cats need access to the outdoors or they get stressed and destructive - and without a "filter / flap that can let just our cats in) - there is no way to stop the feral
I am guessing that you don't live in UK ......?

To get rid of the smell I can really recommend a spray called Urine off. It works a treat. A colleague of mine was about to get new carpets because his cat had taken to weeing on the stairs but this stuff sorted it out. It is about £12.50 a bottle but it really works better than anything I have used before.
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

That sounds a slightly gentler way of telling someone to p**** off

How can you say 'no' to that face? :D

Actually, I've been cat-less for 6 years since my last old boy died.
We decided not to have another as we holiday quite a lot and it wouldn't be fair to keep putting a cat into a cattery.
But I have a secret hope that a stray will turn up on my doorstep and I wouldn't be able to turn him away.
    Would I? ;)

    I've been Money Tipped!
I remember when I was a teenager at home, a fluffy ginger cat appeared under the hedge one day. My father famously said ‘one saucer of milk and he’s on his way’. Seventeen years later.......

Many years ago we used to frequently wake up to find a beautiful Siamese cat asleep at the bottom of our bed.

Our own cat never seemed to object to the intruder, or at least never did anything about it! Maybe he didn't notice its arrival, or perhaps he was out at the time.

Our cat had to be put to sleep recently, so I'd love a respectable intrudor cat at the moment

This cat is far from beautiful and has kept away since Thursday night - I left the hall light on and left a radio playing in the conservatory (to scare it away) - hopefully no more visitations ??
The smell is starting to go too !

Sounds like a feral Tom cat. If you speak to cats protection they can often offer humane traps. We've used one successfully in the past when we had a sick looking stray that wouldn't let anyone near her.
