Halifax Mortgage - Late Payment

As an update, I didn’t get anywhere with Halifax, as expected.

A very helpful, genuine chap from head office called me. He understood my frustrations and sympathised. Ultimately however, the late payment was my mistake and therefore a true reflection to be shown to the credit agencies.

Lesson learnt - don’t cancel DD before completion, if the completion funds won’t reach the mortgage company in the same month in which the payment was due.

I hope late payment mark doesn’t cause me issue when I come to remortgage in the next 18 months.

It is really unlikely to cause any issues a year or more down the line.
