All you can do is sit and wait while they continue to pay you.

It took over 9 months (after complaining) just to get my initial assessment last year

Went in to local job centre and asked. An older experienced lady who knew about esa had a look on computer and nothing has been done at all since I sent it in in oct last year. As a renewal having been on disability benefit for 18 years it should be quicker as there are no changes.

It should be the assessment providers you should be contacting at this stage and not DWP. Once you send your forms back DWP will then send them to them, it's nothing to do with the DWP at this stage. Everyone has to have an assessment, whether it's paper based or a face 2 face and DWP don't do that.

It took them 10 months to sort mine out last year. I got the ESA 50 in January. The Medical Services people said in May that it had been delayed cus they were waiting for a reply from my GP. It transpired that they never actually received a letter from them even although it had allegedly been sent in March.

Shortly thereafter, DLA to PIP came around so the ESA kind of got forgotten about. Also I was really ill and not in any position to chase them up. It finally got sorted out about November when I received a letter out of the blue to say I was being kept in the support group and no medical.

So aye, it can take a while.
