All you can do is sit and wait while they continue to pay you.
It took over 9 months (after complaining) just to get my initial assessment last year0 -

Went in to local job centre and asked. An older experienced lady who knew about esa had a look on computer and nothing has been done at all since I sent it in in oct last year. As a renewal having been on disability benefit for 18 years it should be quicker as there are no changes.0 -

It took them 10 months to sort mine out last year. I got the ESA 50 in January. The Medical Services people said in May that it had been delayed cus they were waiting for a reply from my GP. It transpired that they never actually received a letter from them even although it had allegedly been sent in March.
Shortly thereafter, DLA to PIP came around so the ESA kind of got forgotten about. Also I was really ill and not in any position to chase them up. It finally got sorted out about November when I received a letter out of the blue to say I was being kept in the support group and no medical.
So aye, it can take a while.0
