I am thinking of getting 3 discs on BT Whole Home Wi-Fi.
Is there any other system to look at?
Can this be used in conjunction with my existing BT WiFi extender?

I have a BT Whole Home Wifi and my advice would be to steer well clear. At the very least read as much as you can stomach of this thread on the BT forums.
TLDR, BT have broken it with a buggy update and after 8 weeks there is no sign of a fix. A few people report having returned their devices in favour of the Netgear Orbi and are happy with the Netgear kit.0 -

Thank you for your help & advice0 -
honestly if you are having WIFI issues I would purchase the Airport extreme by apple. It's basically a small radio station and is incredibly powerful, although a little pricey. Also if you want something a little cheaper look up the brand Edimax. I can't remember which model but they have some of the best wireless devices in my opinion. (Although if you have the funds the Airport is the way to go).0

I may have misled you slightly. The devices that seem to be recommended as replacements in that thread are the TP-Link Deco kits, not the Netgear Orbi, although I think one person did choose the Netgear.0 -

All Apple Airport products are now discontinued. Existing stocks will be sold. Apple Support will continue for the requisite period.0 -

Recent posts suggest that there are ongoing issues with the Netgear Orbi as well and that is also best avoided
