Is it worth me working?

This post is on behalf of my mum. Unrelated to my other posts.0

Thanks for your response but I'm not sure you understand the purpose of my thread. I'm asking for help on behalf of my mum as she's unsure of what to do. As mentioned, my son is between mine and his father's home. Not sure if you read that?
Also not sure as to why you emphasized the word 'big'.0 -
Hi thanks for your response. I wrote this on behlf of my mum. My 'phone' post is in relation to my own personal situation, and yes I do declare my earnings.
Again, thanks for responding.0 -
Another vote here for the CAB, or a benefits advice organisation. There is a thing called a 'better off calculation' which is designed to do exactly what you are trying to do - to compare your situation now with a given job prospect. It IS true that you can be worse off in work, but this varies from job to job. And obviously the things about progressing in work, building up a pension, etc are also true, but the calculation is still worth doing as you should make a decision based on factors important to you (including whether you will actually be better off financially) rather than on others' prejudices.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Hi. No copy and past job here.
I always feel paragraphs make easy reading. I personally don't enjoy reading a bulk of text. Admitadly they could have been better inserted but hey, I'm no English Language professor. I just asked for help in relation to the situation described above, but thanks for your comments in regards to my literacy skills.0 -
Thanks for your response.
I mentioned certain walks of life as I presumed a lot of people would comment (and free to do so) with unhelpful things, shown in the comments. People clearly enjoy bashing others that are seeking useful advice, and so I thought I might catch the eye of those who have been through similar things, or who kow a little about this stuff, by mentioning this in the question. I apologize if anyone is affected by this.
This is my first time using this forum, I'm really not sure hows best to use it.
Again, thanks for your response.0 -

So the question regarding the job is on behalf of your mother?
The comments regarding housing / non-dependent son is re yourself (and therefore doesn't have anything to do with employment issues)?
You've made it about as clear as mud.0 -
Im posting on behalf of my mother, FULL STOP. Regardless, can you help?0

I wasn't criticising your literacy skills, I was pointing out that you had one random paragraph which, contrary to the rest of your post which was fine, misused the word "I" as well as the contraction "I'm".
Assuming you sat down and wrote the post, it doesn't really make sense why you wrote a random paragraph in that style; wedged between paragraphs which were fine. Hence it looking like a copy and paste job.
Out of curiosity, but why did you change writing style in that manner?0
