Here's another one that appears to have a lot of problems with their post!

This ebay buyer seems to have terrible luck with the Royal Mail:Dbuyer name: seventearsareflowingtotheriver

    Ah, seventearsareflowingtotheriver.

I also had the misfortune of dealing with this clown a fair few months ago - one of the more obvious and blatant INR/SNAD scammers who leaves plenty of evidence in feedback.

Really, it shows how bad she is when two separate, unconnected sellers both post on this forum about her.

IIRC I looked at her feedback at the time and the first page was full of red dots, but beyond that the feedback was fair - so at the time she had only just "turned"

I did notice that she was also a seller herself and had a few bad feedbacks for being rubbish at it. Funny how quite often the worst buyers are rubbish sellers and/or sellers that have been scammed themselves.

I had delivery confirmation on the order that she was claiming INR on so she was never going to get anywhere with me, but she insisted that she had not received it anyway. So I had a look at her feedback to get a better picture on her just in case she might be genuine...

I saw all the recent negs and confronted her with it - noticed that it was fairly recent and asked her if she'd recently got a new postman because it seemed as though all her mail was going missing but it had only started recently.

You should have seen the reply that I got from her - she went ballistic - "What the hell are you questioning me about the postman for? Why are you snooping through my feedback, there's obviously something wrong with you to do that etc etc" - that kind of stuff. I simply pointed out that the feedback she was leaving was there for trading partners to look at as they wished and that was the point of leaving it.

Eventually she went away with nothing, but I did think that after her experience with me that she might think more carefully about what feedback she was leaving - evidently not!

Opened a request claiming non receipt of item, I offered to replace it, they declined citing that they had already purchased a replacement and would like a refund, I issued a refund and then later they made a chargeback on their card, which PayPal took from me again, so they got double their money back for an item they probably received, I had to argue the point with PayPal to get my money back.

A buyer cannot get a "double refund".

I was wondering that as well. If a full refund was made in the INR then there is absolutely nothing left to be the subject of a chargeback in PayPal. A bank can only call back a payment that exists, they can't claim a new one?

There ought to be a sticky thread at the top of the page like this, warning sellers of dodgy buyers.

Thats OK until your name appears on the page one day. Who will police it?

Without links to the ebay / paypal system someone could have named someone innocent.

  • I thought that as well, but they did. The card provider claimed the money back from PayPal and they they took it out of my account, PayPal gave me the money back eventually when I gave them the date of the refund and insisted they look the transaction up, they said it was because they no longer have direct access to ebay records that caused the problem.

That's what doesn't make sense, banks claim a transaction refund not a monetary refund.

The banks reclaim money that was paid , paypal track that money to get the paypal transaction number to identify the account and the transaction, if the transaction was refunded via ebay the transaction shows a zero payment, therefore only zero can be claimed back.
