Freestanding Zanussi fan oven not working at all

Hi,
The fan oven of my freestanding Zanussi ZCV563DW is totally dead. It worked fine whilst cooking dinner, but a couple of hours later, there was nothing when turning it on. No light, no fan or heat. The top oven and grill and hob are still working ok.
So far I've checked the time is set correctly and as far as I can tell, has not been accidentally put into timer mode. (it's been switched on/off at the main switch to reset the time several times, even leaving it off completely for a few hours incase it rest itself!)
There were no signs of damage where the wires enter it under the back cover or at the switch on the wall. Neither has it triggered the mains trip switch at anytime.
I'm supposed to be making my daughter's wedding cake next month so am starting to panic. Typically, it is a few months out of the 3 year guarantee period. If anyone can help with suggestions or thoughts on it please, I'll be very grateful.

It most proberly the heating element in the fan oven has gone. You can replace it yourself if you can take off the back as it is just 2 wires to clip on and off. Done this twice myself on a creda fan oven of 15 years. If you don't know, go on youtube and i am sure someone will tell you how to replace it on your model. I always try this as i don't have a diy husband.0

The element shouldn't stop the fan & light working. It could be lots of things, the favourite, as you mention, is the oven being accidently set to "auto". Failing that it could just be a broken wire, faulty switch, faulty electronic wizardry, etc. Is there a thermal fuse on that model? It's really difficult to fault find over the internet.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1
