    We have this from Ikea

Had it for 2 years no stains.

We are careful with it. We use a plastic bowl for washing up most of the time for things that do not go in the dishwasher and never pour boiling water straight on it.

    We love it.

I just couldn't be bothered when stainless steel will take everything you throw at it. And what you throw doesn't break when it hits the sink!

I know what you mean but I do not like stainless steel it is so cold looking.

We spend a lot of time in our kitchen sitting around the table so it is a much used room.

I love our sink because it looks nice and is big enough to be able to wash large items in it that do not go in the dishwasher so to me it is worth taking just a little bit of care with it.

Pouring tea from the pot into the sink is good way of staining it. We use a plastic funnel so that it just goes down the hole.

Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of having a sink?

Edit to add: The more I think about this the funnier it gets! "Oh no, who's poured tea down the sink without using the funnel?!"

Oh crikey, sorry!:o I didn't realise that a man was responsible for cleaning your sink. Funnel away! There'll be no more mirth from me on the subject.:D

We have had a white Villeroy & Boch Condor sink for about 15 years. It hasn't stained and still looks good. The bottom of the main sink is scratched, though, from us washing heavy metal pans and casserole dishes in it over the years. We've now fitted a clear plastic sink mat, which has stopped further scratching and prevents breakages. I wish we'd fitted one of these mats years ago! The mat does stain over time, but then it is cheap to replace.

We have had an Astracast Granite ROK 1.5 bowl black kitchen sink for nine years and it still looks as good as when new, we also use Bars Keepers Friend and no stains that we can see, even though it is a dark colour we would still expect any to show.
